NATF-Major Demands

 


Major demands of the NATF -

(These demands may be different in the context of each state.

It is an effort that the teachers who have received National Award by the Government of India should get the following minimum facilities-

1. Issuance of Permanent Unique Identification Card (UID) and Visiting Card by the Ministry of Education.

2. Minimum 75% discount in AC class of Railways with family.

3. Exemption in toll on national and state highways.

4. 50% off on all domestic flights.

5. Member of the delegation of Education Ministers during educational tours to other states and abroad.

6. Membership in textbook writing and curriculum development committees.

7. Academic membership in NCTE, NCERT and national committees related to education reforms.

8. Resource person in Diksha and other programs.

9. Facility of free stay for maximum ten days in a year in Rajya Bhavan located in New Delhi.

10. At the national level, a 3-day National Education Reform Conference should be organized by the Government of India every two years, involving teachers who have received national awards.

11. National ICT Award and equivalent awards should be considered equivalent to National Teacher Award.

12. Teachers of central schools - Navodaya, Eklavya, Kendriya, Sainik schools should also be given 2 advance increments in salary.

13. To give priority for treatment to awardees teachers above 60 years of age in hospitals like AIIMS.

 

Matters related to state governance or local administration.

 

State Government or the administration under which the services of the employee are being availed. Teachers who have received national awards by that government should get the following minimum facilities:

1. At least two increments in service.

2. Once out of turn promotion.

3. Concession in fares for buses operated by state transport.

4. Minimum service extension of 2 years.

5. Member in the State Committee related to education reforms.

6. Member of the delegation of Education Ministers during educational tours to other states and abroad.

7. Membership in textbook writing and curriculum development committees.

8. To give priority in choice filing for posting for promotion or any other reasons.

9. Exemption from administrative transfer unless absolutely necessary.

10. Facility to stay in Government Rest House/Circuit House.

11. Guard of Honors should be given during the last journey of the awardees teacher.
